* Clarendon, 3 Mar: Third complaint

(S136) Two residents have complained about a loud party at a property in Clarendon Road on 3 March 2021.

Resident1 says: "Last night, the 3rd of March, there was a very noisy party at number [xx]. ... My neighbours ... [visited the house] at around 12.15 last night, to ask that the music be turned down. The noise level actually increased. My neighbours called again later and were met with abuse, and a refusal to turn the music down or reduce the noise. One remark made was that we, the residents, should not be living in 'a student area'. This is not the first time this attitude has come from this particular group of students."

Resident2: "[Being] kept up beyond 1am against your will is unacceptable."

The property has been cited in two previous complaints this academic year. Both complaints mentioned multiple disturbances. Resident1 said in her email to UoB: "We would also ask that the university seriously examine the procedures for dealing with antisocial behaviour from students, as the existing sanctions clearly don't work."
