* Auburn, 29 Oct: Garden noise at 2am

(23020) Resident disturbed by students gathering in the front garden of a house in Auburn Road, Clifton Down ward, in the early hours of 29 October 2023.

Resident wrote to UoB: "Students at this address were making excessive noise in the early hours ... Over a period of half an hour or more from about 1-30am to 2am, various numbers of students were in the garden or on the front steps, chatting (sometimes loudly) and occasionally shouting and whooping."

The resident said he was disturbed despite living about 50 yards away. He went out to check which property the noise was coming from.

"I saw more than a dozen students in total, though not all of them were present all of the time. Three left in a taxi. Those remaining agreed to go inside the house after I went out to speak to them."
