* High Kingsdown, 22-27 Feb: Street noise
(S132) A resident in High Kingsdown has compiled a list of recent disturbances caused by people returning home noisily late at night.
22/02/2021, 00:21am: "Over ... 4 nights we have been disturbed by students walking home at a similar time through the estate ... it is incredibly disruptive and unfair." (No details given of individual incidents.)
23/02/2021, 00:49am: "Two female students walking through High Kingsdown this early am with music..."
27/02/2021, 01:17am: "Two students arguing outside my house, clearly drunk and fairly aggressive, for around ten minutes this evening. Certainly woke many people up in flats and houses probably walking back from a gathering/party through the estate."
(Same night), 01:43am: "Another noisy group moving through the estate and possibly one person returning to xx High Kingsdown."
(Note: It is often not possible to identify definitively who is causing street noise and many such incidents go unreported for that reason, and also because they are usually short-lived. They nevertheless account for a very large proportion of the events that wake people up. I report some of these cases simply to remind everyone of that fact. The resident in this case believes the people responsible are students—he sent his emails to the University of Bristol.)
