* Cotham Vale, 27 May: 'Excessively loud'
(21108) Two residents have complained about noise from a student property in Cotham Vale on 27 May 2022.
Resident1 wrote to UoB: "No. xx had a party this evening. At lunchtime I twice had to tell them to turn the music down because it was blaring right across all the gardens on our road. Shortly after that I received a note through the door saying they were having a birthday party from 6pm and giving a phone number. The noise ramped up again from about 4.30pm and we went out for a bit and then retreated to the front of our house to avoid the noice, which could be heard from front and back. I was going to give them till 10pm, even though the music was excessively loud, but Operation Beech arrived at 9.50. I don't know who had called them but obviously other residents had been disturbed by the event. OB had to knock for ages ... [until] they finally opened the door. The music continued while OB talked to them about what they were doing wrong. Eventually it was turned down and then off at c.10.05pm."
"We have complained to them on six prior occasions since the summer about the noise they make (mainly music played really, really loudly with windows open) ..."
Resident2 wrote: "The anger and frustration does not stop when the music stops. Blood pressure goes through the roof and sleep doesn't come."
