(21025) A resident has complained again about noise from a student property in Ashgrove Road, saying he was woken on consecutive nights, from 21July 2021.
In an email to UoB on 21 July, he said: "I’ve been woken up by people returning home from 4:30h onwards. Not excessive noise but loud-enough talking to keep me awake since. Also, people sat in room and on windowsill and talking.
"It’s a heatwave and naturally windows are kept open in our house to manage temperature, so even more important to be quiet during night-time hours."
The following day he wrote again: "At around 0:45h this morning, I had to tell the student to be quiet. A group of about 10 individuals sat outside near the side entrance talking in varying volumes. At least they listened and went inside. ... the lack of quality sleep is interfering with my mental health and my ability to perform well at work."
