* Waverley, 30 Apr: 'Very apologetic'

(22060) Complaint about noise disturbance at a student property in Waverley Road, Cotham, on the night of 29/30 April 2023.

Resident wrote to UoB: "This is to report a noisy student party last night. Around 11.00pm it [was] obvious there was a large gathering at a house on Waverley Rd. There was a lot of noise from the rear garden ... By 1.00am, with the noise increasing, it was clear a party was in full swing and very likely to continue through the night."

The resident lives on the northern side of the railway line, on the opposite side from the student address. He says he went to the house and spoke with a student who was "very apologetic" and who did ultimately calm the party down.

"As on previous occasions when speaking to students in Waverley Road, he was completely surprised to learn that noise in the rear garden was affecting people on the other side of the railway line."
