* Richmond Terrace, Sep: 'Woken 3 nights'

(22013) A resident in Richmond Terrace, Clifton, has complained to UoB and the landlord after being kept awake on three consecutive nights by noisy gatherings involving three separate student flats in the same building in mid-September 2022.

(This report covers incident numbers 22011, 22012 and 22013.)

The resident reported to UoB: "Three nights in a row of broken sleep is stressful and exhausting."

(Incident 22013, second floor: night of 14-15 September): "Last night ... there was a big party on the 2nd floor with club/sound system volume levels. Incredibly loud at the back and the front of the terrace. I called Beech around midnight, they already had several complaints -- you would’ve been able to hear the music the other side of Victoria Square, 100 yards away. The officers from Beech got them to turn it down and shut the windows but then they turned it up again and I had to text Beech another three times." (Incident 22012, garden flat: night of 13-14 September): "We were woken at 3am by music and loud singing in the Garden Flat ... Not sure what time it stopped because at 4.30am I went to sleep on the sofa. I wrote them a friendly note explaining the impact of noise on their neighbours ... " (Incident 22011, hall floor: night of 12-13 September): Monday night, there was another noisy gathering on the Hall Floor .... with raised voices and heated debate, this seems to be fairly regular at the moment and they usually have the window wide open .... They tend to stop [at] 11/12pm but this is during the week and people have to work etc." Reported to UoB or UWE: B
