Report of street noise in Redland Road (near the railway line) in late September 2021.
A resident said in a 24 September email: "We've had a quiet summer here at the bottom end of Redland Road, but in the past week since students returned we have twice been woken at 3.30 am by large numbers of what are clearly students, shouting, laughing loudly and congregating in groups in the street immediately outside our house. When I opened the window last night and asked them to keep the noise down, they appeared astonished that it was a problem.
"Street noise like this is much more difficult to address than noise from a particular student house - there is little point in contacting the police or Operation Beech, since the source of the problem will have moved on by the time anyone arrives on the scene ... "
