* Melville, 22 Oct: 'Beech called out twice'

(22039) Complaint about noise disturbances in and around Melville Road, Chandos, ending with a call to Operation Beech on 22 October 2022.

Resident wrote to UoB: "I have no idea quite what has got in to the heads of students this week but after a relatively okay start, this week they reverted to thinking they were back in halls rather than living within the wider community.

"We live in the Melville / Cowper Rd / Chandos Rd area and Friday night (21st October) was very noisy through till dawn.

"Then on Saturday night No.[xx] Melville Rd had a house party and Operation Beech were called out twice and ended up waiting in the road for about 10 mins to supervise the ongoing noise problem.

"It’s crazy that students have to be told they are creating a disturbance. They must know they are keeping people awake!"
