* Chandos, 10 Jul: Noise from 1am gathering

(21012) Disturbance from student accommodation behind shops in Chandos Road in the early hours of 10 July 2021.

Two residents complained about beat music, loud voices and shouting at about 1am from an outside gathering at the rear of the accommodation, which lies between Lansdown and Brighton Roads. I witnessed the noise myself and saw two residents arrive separately to complain. They both spoke to the students, who promised to bring their guests inside and close windows. (I also spoke to one of the students, and both of the residents.)

When I passed the location again about 20 minutes later, there seemed still to be significant noise, although the source was not visible from the street.

I don't know whether any complaints have been submitted to UoB.
