* Ashgrove, 24 Sep: 'Apology and action'

(22020) Complaint about noise disturbance at a property in Ashgrove Road, Redland, on the night of 23-24 September 2022.

Resident reported to UoB that he first noticed noise from the property at about 11-30pm, with "quite loud beat music" and "about 20 people on the steps and in the garden" talking loudly or shouting. An hour later "the beat music was undiminished and the outside crowd was larger."

He spoke to three tenants. "They had just moved in, and it was a birthday party. Me: unimpressed. They immediately apologised and asked what they could do to resolve the situation. I suggested they turn the music well down or off and move the people inside. They took immediate steps to do this, and we continued an amicable discussion while it was being done."

With the situation quieter, he went home, but was still able to hear people shouting. However, shortly afterwards, the party appeared to break up and the area became quiet.
