* Arley Hill, October: Noise remedies sought

(22029) A couple have complained to UWE about frequent noise disturbance from students living at a neighbouring property in Arley Hill.

The residents cite a variety of activities:

  • persistent slamming of dustbins

  • slamming of a porch door, both day and night

  • outside gatherings with loud conversation and sometimes music

  • flickering and strobe lighting in overlooking bedrooms

  • residents on a balcony conversing loudly with others in the flat or garden beneath

  • parties, BBQ’s and large social gatherings with loud music

The couple report that they received a visit from UWE's two campus police officers to discuss the issues and possible remedial measures.
