* Alexandra Park, 21 Nov: 'Large party'

(21087) Complaint about a large student party at a property near the junction of Chandos Road and Alexandra Park on 21 November 2021.

Resident says: "... there was a large party of about 50 at [xx] last night. It started as we went to bed at about 22.40. Loud music pumping out, students out on the porch roof and in the garden talking loudly kept us awake until we called Operation Beech at 1.10 am. They got them back inside and got the music turned down.

"We slept fitfully until we were awoken again about 3.30 by a loud altercation—[a]bottle being broken, we think—and then the sound of a window being broken. My husband had got up to see one of the party climb on the side garden wall and throw something at the porch window ....

"He then went out to check no cars had been damaged. I phoned Beech again. He was met with a torrent of mocking aggression from a large group of young men which was frightening, as you can imagine. I went out and spoke to 2 young men who were trying to calm things down. No one seemed to know who actually lived in [the house]. The police arrived after we had come back in, closed down the party and took criminal damage details from occupants."

The resident notes that this is the second complaint she has made against this address (see link below).
