* Hampton, 9 Aug: Daytime noise

(S082) Complaint of daytime noise at a property on Hampton Road, between Abbotsford and Aberdeen Roads, that has already attracted multiple complaints.

Resident told UoB: "While the students have gotten better at night-time disturbances (though there is still the odd day where students return to the house in the early hours of the morning and decide to put music on) the day-time noise hasn’t improved.

"Students play music every single day. They either move the speaker into the garden, or play music from the kitchen/bedrooms and open their windows so it can be heard in the garden. The music usually starts at around 12pm-1pm and lasts for several hours (today they have been playing electric guitar music from 12pm to 7pm). It’s very loud, it easily travels through the walls and windows, and it makes relaxing in the garden or any room at the back of the house difficult because all you can hear is the music."
