(S113) A first complaint about noise at a property in Hampton Road, between Abbotsford and Aberdeen Roads, in the early hours of 9 October 2020. Resident emailed UoB at 1.40am and again at 2.20am. "Since midnight there has been music blasting and loud singing / banging coming from this property. It’s confined to the top/second floor ... I have been around, rang the bell and knocked [on] the door but no one seems to want to answer ... I reported the matter to police ... it seems to have got louder from midnight ... (S112) Complaint about noisy student gathering at a property in Stanley Road, Cotham, late in the evening of 1 October 2020. Resident says: "There were at least 6-8 people in the garden and another 6-8 in the kitchen. I spotted at least 15 people altogether in the house and they were making a lot of noise. They must have returned together from a bar because it was around 10.30-11pm. It was apparent that not all those present live at the property. She says her young children were woken by shouting and singing from the group in the garden. "When I shouted out of my bathroom window they swore back at me, so I said I would call the police ... Referring to previous complaints in July, the resident says: "Although the very large, noisy parties seem to have stopped, they are still frequently playing loud music ..."
